We become very nostalgic about an old  Burma Shave  jingle or a vintage ad of the new Oldsmobile...again it brings memories and positive emotions of times gone by...the advertising of the past is a part of the mood, the literature, the art of that era.  Collecting advertising pieces is very popular and can be easily used in one's decorating scheme.  Advertising was displayed in many ways...on wood boxes, porcelan, tin, and cardboard signs, in magazines, on glassware, china and stoneware, on jewelry, etc.  Some people collect local advertising while others collect advertising for a particular product.  Either way the hunt is so much fun....
